A Successful Swedish Girl Who Gave Up Everything, Finally Finds The Paradise She Is Looking For In The Philippines

As many had sought for major changes in life and find the thing they would cherish, most of them leave their comfort zone and take on an adventure of their life.

One of these brave souls, Sanne Sevig, took the courage to change her way of life and set out on the Philippines to relocate her new home.

Sanne worked as a project manager at a Stockholm Clothing Company where she is established and earning a good fortune. She studied at the University of Skövde and have been a lecturer all over their country.

Having most of these stress for most of her years, she had never been satisfied in her life and have been dealing most of her busy life all at once. She could not tolerate the silence of being alone and it haunts here at night which gives her trouble at sleeping.

"I was smoking at the time and I couldn't even go out for a cigarette and be quiet during the two minutes it takes. I had a panic attack. It was so quiet and I felt like shit. Then came the feeling that I couldn't live like this anymore." She quoted.

Because of the pressure of being alone and her troubles in her sleep, in 2012, Sanne had an accident and drove her car off the road. This was all due to her stress and sleep deprivation that made her faint while driving. It was out of luck that she managed to get uninjured during the accident. The following day after the accident, she decided to set out far from Sweden and quit her job. She then asked her Facebook friends for an advice on where she would move abroad.

Her friend advised her to move to Manila just like her and stay there for free. Sanne then sought for the opportunity and took the plane to the Philippines.

She decided to sell everything she owned and started a new life after she fell in love with the Philippines. She's been staying here for the last four years and put up a hostel in the island of Siargao.

It was been a complete contrast to her daily struggle in Sweden when she moved to Siargao Island.

"When I came here, I was riding in a car from the airport and had my nose pressed against the window and thought oh well, now I've found my home. I had not even had a single day on the job," she said.

It has been a stress-free life and all but bliss!
