Victorious Pinoy Boxer Uses Ippo Makunouchi's Dempsey Roll Style in this Fight! Read the Story and Watch the Video Here.

A Philippine Boxer fights of a Lao competitor in this 3 minute and a 49-second video that is currently trending on social media that displays the infamous "Dempsey Roll" of Makunouchi Ippo.

It is a famed technique in a very known anime series called Hajime-No-Ippo which features a boxing skill that is imitated by a Pinoy boxer.

Some even question it if it's really the real deal but what exactly is the Dempsey Roll?

According to an anime wiki, the Dempsey Roll was a technique which is developed and used by a real-life boxer, William Harrison "Jack" Dempsey. In the famed anime series, it was learned by Makunouchi Ippo, a featherweight boxer in Japan, to destroy most of his opponent to win a Japanese title.

The technique uses a lowered stance and makes a compact body coordination where he fervently weaves his body to avoid the enemy's punches and evade them as well making it almost impossible to trace Ippo's movement and hit him accurately.

After gaining the right momentum and spot to secure the enemy from his position, the user of the said technique then fires a rapid series of punches while dodging most of the enemies attacks making it a most impregnable and effective technique of hitting and defending at the same time.

With the high paced barrage of punches and the momentum of swinging from left and right, the enemy will have a hard time escaping it due to the flurry of hooks they taking. Only a few opponents can particularly withstand the barrage of punches the user throws making it also impossible to guard.

But even there are some people who simply say it was just a mere "bob and weave," it still makes a cringing effect on viewers on how the Filipino displayed his fight against his opponent.

Check out this video and see what it really means and shares this article for those anime and boxing fans!
