After Their Parents Abandoned Them, These Kids Lived in The Pigpen Outside Their Uncle’s House For Almost 2 years

It is heartbreaking to learn how these five kids from Vigan City, Ilocos Sur got mistreated by their uncle by letting them live with the pigs outside their uncle’s house for two years. They were abandoned by their cruel parents when they are still young.

A Facebook post by DWRS Commando Radio news anchor Jun Ramos revealed their story that made a lot of reactions from the netizens. The story was told by the eldest sibling, Jhon Mark del Rosario. He was only 12-years old when their father abandoned them with their mother. They lived at their grandmother’s house but their mother soon left them as well.

Their were also mistreated by their grandmother and loathed them. The two elder siblings ran away from home because they could not stand the mistreatment. The rest of them also chose to run away and follow their elder siblings because they also suffered the same fate under their grandmother’s hands.

They found refuge at the pigpen outside of their uncle’s house. It is really sad to learn that these kids have to live among those pigs. After living so long with them, they eventually got accustomed by the horrid smell and noise of the pigs.

The elder kids had also taken some jobs as a technician to earn money for their younger siblings and send them to school. But their earnings was so little that it wasn’t even enough to feed them. There are times that they even sleep with empty stomachs. Their family should actually have some benefits from the government program called 4Ps but their mother took the ATM card with her, thus leaving the kids to live for themselves.

But after some time, their mother went back home then Jhon Mark confronted her asking why did she leave them.

Her mother answered the question with this:

“Bakit di mo pa sila pinabayaan para namatay na sila?” (Why didn’t you abandon your siblings so they‘ll just die?)

The facebook post got a lot of feedbacks and drew the attention of the local government and some concerned netizens on social media. All thanks to Jun Ramos, they were given a chance to have a better life.

The City Government of Vigan made their way in helping the children by giving them materials that they would need to build a house. A lot of helping hands and donations were also given to them by the radio station. The DWRS Commando Radio staff and Jun Ramos helped the kids by providing them their essential needs. They even helped them to make a bank account for Jhon Mark so that some donations could be directly be given to them.

If you would like to donate to these poor little kids, donations can be coursed through Jun Ramos or directly to the elder siblings newly bank account:
